After a complete facelift to the lobby, landscaping and rooms in 1999, the property now looks a lot younger than her forty-plus years. One can recapture the old-school elegance of Beverly Hills while staying here, from the live poolside music on summer weekends to the excitement surrounding the Golden Globes, which is held in the ballroom every January. The large guest rooms are quite lovely, and most offer terraces and city views. The poolside restaurant, Griff's, specializes in bounteous buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and on Sundays it features a lavish Champagne brunch.
