Located next to the marina in the historic centre of Cascais, the Estalagem do Farol is a design hotel of architectural importance re-opened in March 2002. Formerly owned by the Count of Cabral, this remodelled 19th century mansion combines a new infrastructure with a unique contemporary design, resulting in a harmonious bridge in time. Facilities include a fine-dining restaurant, saltwater swimming pool and a wide range of other activities created for guests to take advantage of the great outdoors. From the 34 guest-rooms, one can practically touch the sea. The hotel is situated in the Estoril Coast, a region famous for its privileged climate and fine sandy beaches dotted along the shoreline. The nearby Sintra mountains form the perfect backdrop to the lush, green landscape of the surrounding Cascais-Sintra Natural Park.
