Villa Ciconia is situated at about 1 hour by car far from Rome. You can find the train-bus station at about 1 km from the hotel. It is an elegant Villa which dates back to the 16th century and it is surrounded by an age-old park at the confluence of the river Chiani and the Carcaione. Recent reconstructuring retained all the original characteristics of the villa (thick walls, large beams, and terracotta paving). Although guaranteeing a very comfort, the atmosphere is typically tranquil. Hotel Villa Ciconia has 12 double rooms, all equipped with bathroom/shower (some rooms have whirlpool tub), hair-dryer, air-conditioning and central heating, direct phone, Sat TV, bar, reading-room, 2 congress-rooms (from 20 to 60 seats), inner private parking. A well equipped public sporting center, with swimming-pool, covered and uncovered illuminated tennis-courts. The first category, elegant and classic restaurant on the ground floor has two large halls. In the main hall (about 220 seats) for banquets and ceremonies there is a lacunar ceiling with engraved and decorated strips, painted with allegorical motifs and landscape scenes. The excellently run Restaurant presents high class genuine Umbrian culinary cuisine. The wine cellar is wall stocked with high quality wines and of course Orvieto classico.
