The "Goldener Adler" is one of the oldest and most traditional inns in Europe, established in XIV century on the old road-connection between the North and the South of Europe, nearby the most important bridge over the river. The marble plate at the hotel entrance shows the names of numerous famous personalities who have stayed here over the centuries: Emperor Joseph II, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and many more. It still hosts guests from all over the world, and sometimes they are even as famous as in the past.
