The art and design hotel Augarten is Dr. Helmut Marko's second 4-star hotel in Graz. This building which was designed by Günther Domenig has 56 air conditioned rooms, 36 of which are business rooms, and 20 fully furnished apartments. Although centrally situated - just 7 walking minutes from the old part of the city - it is quiet. The hotel has it´s own basement garage and a leisure and relaxation area unique to the Graz´ inner-city hotels. There is an indoor pool, a sauna, solarium and gym, as well as a roof terrace with a fascinating view of the Grazer clock tower. Dr. Marko took a significant step towards individuality by using paintings and sculptures of contemporary artists. Works by Gunter Damisch, Martin Kippenberger, Hans Staudacher, Elke Krystufek, Matta Wagnest, Franz West and Rudi Molacek make one´s stay a cultural delight.
