This hotel is overlooking the 'dam plein' which was famous in the sixties for it's hippy culture. It is also next to the main shopping street of amsterdam, so is not one of the quietest areas of Amsterdam.
The bedrooms vary in size depending in which part of the building they are situated. They are, in general, quite large with up-to-date decor in shades of blue offering a high level of comfort. Some rooms have recently been refurbished, and are extremely modern decorated in deeper contrasting colours with new furniture - not that they were in need of any major redecoration. The bathrooms are all medium sized, and also in good condition, especially the newer ones.
