Looking up from the town of Vence you can see the Chateau Saint Martin sitting on the hillside on the site of an ancient Templars' castle. The Château Saint Martin, built in traditional style in 1936, stands behind the old drawbridge, tower, and wall which date back to Roman times and give the hotel a feeling of the past, while a beautifully located overflow swimming pool and clay tennis courts provide the pleasures of the present.
The accommodation is extremely luxurious and many of the rooms are so large that they are referred to as suites. If you prefer solitude, there are also small Provencal country houses on the estate.
