IT WAS REFORMED AND ENLARGED IN 1924 AND 1930. AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 1930S, U.S. WRITER ERNEST HEMMINGWAY STAYED IN THE HOTEL, WHERE HE WROTE FISHING CHRONICLES AND FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS . ABOUT THE HOTEL HE SAID - ...IT WAS A GOOD PLACE TO WRITE... THE ROOM WHERE HEMMINGWAY ALWAYS STAYED WAS TURNED INTO A SMALL MUSEUM ON THE WRITERS LIFE. NOWADAYS IT IS ALSO A GOOD PLACE TO ENJOY A STAY THAT WILL LET YOU ADMIRE THE VALUES OF THE OLD PART OF THE CITY.
