Sheraton to open in Vancouver by 2010
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide,
Inc. revealed plans for Sheraton Vancouver Airport (Richmond, B.C., Canada) to be
opened by Winter Olympic Games in 2010. The 389-room property will take the
Sheraton flag before the beginning of January 2010 and will then go through an
extensive refurbishment. The opening of Sheraton Vancouver Airport is the
company’s another step in its growth plan which involves the opening of 1
property every three weeks.
Sheraton Vancouver Airport will be located a few minutes from the Vancouver
International Airport and will offer the city’s biggest meeting space. Guests will be
provided with shuttle service to the airport. When renovated, the hotel will
boast a Link@Sheraton lobby equipped with latest technology. Its guestrooms
will also feature some special amenities like 37” LCD flat panel televisions and Sweet
SleeperTM beds.
