The Waldorf=Astoria Collection will open a hotel in Israel
Hilton Hotels Corporation and
IPC Jerusalem Ltd have signed an agreement to open introduce
the first Waldorf=Astoria Collection hotel in Israel. The Palace Jerusalem
- The Waldorf=Astoria Collection will receive its first guests by the end
of 2010.
Nowadays Hilton operates two hotels in Israel - the Hilton
Tel Aviv and Hilton
Eilat Queen of Sheba.
The new hotel will be situated just steps from
the Old City of Jerusalem. It will be
housed in an impressive structure built in 1929. The hotel will have 220 rooms,
about 30 residences, three restaurants, spa and fitness facility with pool,
extensive conference and meeting facilities and on-site parking.

Waldorf=Astoria Collection’s portfolio now consists of 5 properties - Waldorf=Astoria®
in New
York; Arizona
Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix,
Arizona; Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa in Maui, Hawaii; La Quinta Resort
& Club in Southern California and Qasr Al Sharq or "Palace of the Orient" in
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
