Frankfurt Airport gets a new terminal section
Frankfurt Airport, operated by the Fraport, gets a new terminal section,
which includes a Hall C Expansion at Terminal1, Pier C /D and a
320-meter connecting corridor.
The new Pier contains four docking positions, three of which will be used
for the double-deck superjumbo Airbus A380, capable of carrying up to 1,5 thousand
passengers. Each of these is equipped with three passenger bridges for a
faster passenger flow in and out of the airbus. The bridges serve the main and the
upper decks. The gates of the Pier C /D will be used by Lufthansa German
Airlines. Future plans within the Relocation project also include new gate rooms
for Pier C.
