Russian Gastronomic Week at Rocco Forte’s Brown’s Hotel
Rocco Forte’s Brown’s Hotel in
London joins Rocco Forte Hotel Astoria (St.-Petersburg, Russia) to celebrate the
traditional Russian holiday, Maslenitsa (the Pan-Cake Week), with a Russian
Gastronomic Week.
From 3rd to 8th of March
Brown’s Executive Chef, Lee Streeton and Russian chef Sergey Zhakhovsky from
Hotel Astoria prepare popular Russian dishes like Blinis (pancakes), Borscht
(beet soup) and vatrushkas (cakes with cottage cheese), accompanied by caviar
and of course vodka (price for the menu is £49.50 per person). Try the dishes at
the hotel’s Grill restaurant. Meanwhile, The Grill still offers its a la carte
menu. Moreover, there are traditional Russian cocktails prepared at the hotel’s
Donovan Bar.
Opened in 1837, Brown’s hotel is
one of the oldest hotels in London. In the course of its 170-year history the
hotel was visited by eminent guests like Winston Churchill, Franklin &
Eleanor Roosevelt, Agatha Christieand Rudyard Kipling.
