Paneuropean bikeline will connect Nuremberg and Paris
12 April there will be a new 1537-km long Paneuropean bikeline inaugurated at
the Pan-European festival in Nuremberg, Germany. The bikeline will pass through
Nuremberg and Heidelberg, Strasbourg and Nancy (France) and will finish at the
Gare de l’Est terminal, Paris. But the most important thing about the line is
that it follows a favourite route of the 14-century Roman Emperor and Bohemian
King Charles IV and therefore contains lots of sights to see.
The line construction started in 2001, by German initiative. Soon cyclists
will be able to make a non-stop trip from Nuremberg to Paris and back. Not only
will this trip be convenient, but also very educational.
