Additional accomodation during the UEFA Euro 2008
Every football fan knows that this summer, 7 to 29 June 2008, Austria and
Switzerland host an important sports event - The 2008 UEFA European Football
Championship. They are also aware of the fact that finding accomodation for
these dates is next to impossible – except for tour packages offered by some
travel companies. But don’t be upset if it seems you are too late: hospitable
citizens of Basel, Berne, Geneva and Zurich are ready to welcome guests during
the Championship.
www.switzerland.com offers an extensive list of
available accomodation options, from hotels and campings to private houses and
flats. As a last resort, you can pay for a room or even a bed. Another site, www.sleep-in.ch,
has a list of additional offers by private persons in Switzerland and Austria.
Note that accomodation is not checked or controlled, so be prudent and careful.
