Gluttonous Thursday in Hungary
Just like the Restaurant Week in New York, the "Gluttonous Thursday", Torkos
Csütörtök, is an event for true gourmets. It is organised by Magyar Turizmus and
takes place 22 February 2008. 684 restaurants all around Hungary will offer food
and drinks at half price. Last year most of the restaurants that participated in
the event were located in the country’s capital, Budapest . Unlike in 2007,
in 2008 the major part of the restaurants from the list of participants are
regional ones. Moreover, the list is twice bigger this year. Note that booking tables in
advance is advisable.
