Clarion Hotel Sign opened in Stockholm
This new hotel in Stockholm is a true designer
delight for those who prefer Scandinavian style. Opened February 6th, it became the city’s largest hotel. The property
offers 558 rooms, all furnished with masterpieces by famous Scandinavian
designers.
There are four floors, each dedicated to some
country: one is focused on Sweden and its rooms are true masterworks by Bruno
Mathsson and Eric Jorgensen. Another floor demonstrates works by Alvar Aalto
(Finland), the third showcases furniture created by Arne Jacobsen (Denmark).
And, finally, the fourth floor is a Norwegian one, decked out with the work of
Norway Says and Fjord Fiesta. The hotel building was designed by Gert Wingårdh,
from Gothenburg, Sweden.
Those who aren’t keen on Scandinavian style will like the
hotel’s rooftop swimming pool and spa on the top floor. Clarion Sign’s
restaurant, Aquavit Grill and Raw Bar, is the world’s only outside location of
the New York’s Aquavit.
