Sochi 2014 – hotel construction has begun
As Sochi was chosen for the Olympic Games 2014, one of
first steps announced by the local authorities was to improve the tourist
infrastructure of the city.
This Tuesday the groundbreaking ceremony of
the hotel “Zvezdny” was held. It’s the first hotel to be built especially for
the participants of the Olympics. The old houses on the territory of the future
hotel will be destroyed and a new 270-room hotel will be raised. It’s scheduled
that the construction of this 11-storey building will be completed by
2010.
