Nordic acquired by Choice
Choice Hotels Scandinavia now owns Nordic Hotels,
including the chain’s two properties in Stockholm - Nordic Sea and the designer
Nordic Light at Vasagatan standing opposite each other.
Absolut Icebar is now also a part of Choice hotels. The acquisition of the
mentioned properties turned Choice into the largest hotel chain in the Swedish
capital, with a total of 2860 rooms.
Meanwhile the chain works on other projects in the city and
nearby. According to Torgeir Silseth, CEO of Choice Hotels Scandinavia,
Stockholm is one of the key markets for Choice. Next year the company will open
Quality Solna Nationalarena and Clarion Airport Hotel Arlanda next to the
National Gallery and the Airport.
