I stayed at Sofitel for a week and enjoyed my free time very much. T really had a great time. Modern furniture, friendly staff, fresh flowers in all corners of the hotel, delicious cuisine and marvelo
us terrace – all these made my stay at the hotel unforgettable. The staff remembered that they worked in a hospitality industry so they were pleased 24-hours a day.
I spent 7 wonderful nights at the Sofitel Grand Amsterdam while attending a business-conference with my girlfriend. The garden in front of the hotel was lovely and the interior was very nice. The hote
l was renovated at the time we were there but neither I nor my girl - friend noticed that. The windows in our room faced the canals – so at nights it was rather romantic… a lot of fresh air…And the staff…they were always so pleased and friendly. I’ve been to many hotels in different countries but this one is the best. I would recommend it to all travelers.
A fascinating place to stay, responsive staff, very delicious breakfast, beautiful nature around the hotel…and only few minutes walk to the red light district.
I and my husband were passing Amsterdam in February and stayed one night at the place. We were delighted. Maybe, it's not surprising - the hotel category obliges. The accommodation itself is luxu
rious as well as the service is. The staff is greatly polite. \nWe liked its restaurant and spa services. And, luckily we were in the room with canal view and were delighted to watch swans flowing.
A great and comfort accommodation, with very polite staff. A really 5 stars. And the location is great - the very center.\nWe were staying a night only, but liked the hotel not less. \nLunch in the in
ner yard was great. And they has got a bar there. \nThe bathroom could be a little larger only. And the parking is much more expensive than in the city itself.
The hotel was great. 1st of all, the building itself, it's like to dive in a history, in a luxury one. All around was clean and shiny. The staff was so polite, the concierge helped a lot with adv
ices, esp. on the restaurants around. The hotel restaurant offered lots of tasty European dishes too.\nOur room was nice. The bed was quite comfort despite two twins instead of a double.\nThe location of Grand Sofitel is perfect too. It's close to the Dam square and Van Gogh museum. \nBe ready only to be taken the deposit from your credit card for breakfasts and minibar, etc.
I appreciated this hotel! I have stayed at Sofitel The Grand for 3 nights. And now I can say, that it was the most brilliant and refreshing short vacation, I've ever had! My room was perfect – i
t was sumptuous and spacious. All the staff I've met were quite polite. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. I will come here once more, I am sure about that)
It was my first visit to Amsterdam! I have booked the Grand Sofitel Hotel to stay there during my vacation. The property is set in the historical part of the city and there are great number of fascina
ting buildings and places of interest in the surroundings. I have also found out, that the lodging is a historical monument itself! I really enjoyed my vacation spent in Sofitel The Grand Hotel with all its modern amenities and excellent French cuisine served in the spacious and magnificent restaurant on-site the property.
It's just a great hotel! I've stayed at lot of 4 and 5 stars hotels, so I really can compare. An interesting fact - it's located close by Red Light district and more business one - just
25 mins away from the airport. \nThe personnel is very attentive indeed, it didn't take me time to check in just straightaway. It's very quiet inside of the hotel, though it can be a bit noisy outside in the mornings. But this problem solves quite easily, all you need is just close the window. \nThere's also a very comfortable bed in the rood, spacious wardrobe. It's very pleasant to recieve a little chocalate every day you come back to the hotel and free bottle of water (just in case you're not going to use mini bar). And once again, there's very very polite and supportive staff out there.
Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam has a very good location, very good and attentive staff. We stayed in a suite which was fine except that steps had to go to the bathroom and living room. \nThe room
service was very good and very well served. The best thing in this hotel for me was the attention of Dominic, a hotel employee who is a sky man who is willing to help you out and it's really very nice. Breakfast was really good although the staff serving at breakfast is a bit stiff and had to call several times to get served coffee. As for the pool very well but there is a person in charge of the spa as soon as we saw him coming with 3 children miss us and told us that the pool was crowded and a bit silly as we went without looking if it was true. We had come back more later, there was not crowdy and we went without problem. \n\nOne of the strengths of this hotel more is the privilege of enjoying a historic building like few others. It's very nice. The other point is the great location, facing a channel and very close to everything. T The service is at the world class, impressive breakfast. The interior garden and design are breathing with a history. Everything is excellent.
