Good location in the center of Amsterdam! We consider this hotel to be a unique place to stay. My husband and I have spent there 5 days during a vacation and visited all the major city sights as they
were in a close proximity from the property. Staff were extremely pleasant and efficient, we have never met such an attitude before. That was very nice! The room had one unexpected solution in its interior! I am talking about a glass door that led out of the closet in the room. That was strange, but OK) The room was comfortable and non-smoking.
I have stayed at the Hotel Amsterdam De Roode Leeuw during the work trip. I used to stay there for 4 days, which were a real vacation! Comfortable room, excellent view from the window, nice staff, tas
ty breakfasts. The convenient location offers excellent opportunities for exploring the city's main attractions. Good value for money. Many cafes and restaurants located nearby allowed to appreciate the local cuisine.
Maybe a bit pricy hotel, but it's located nearby Dam Platz. Though it's quite decent indeed whith unbelievably helpful and friendly staff. They surely will try to solve your problem what eve
r has happened.\nPerhaps there are not that big rooms (frankly saying they are rather small), but they are comfortable enough for staying and very clean. The breakfast is tasty and very nice, so can't even ask for more.\nIf you're a looking for a nice, cozy and friendly hotel right in the tourist area, you should try this. Just great for a leisure tourist. Hope you'll enjoy it like I did.
We have been during a summer holidays, and I have to say, that the treatment was extremelly attentive. Friendly staff, though no one spoke my language. Room cleaning was just the way I like, that mean
s regular, because it's not possible to open the windows to ventilate the rooms. By the way, we got room 502 is on the rooffloor with the air conditioning machines. But if you want to reach the floor one you yfve to go up the elevator to the 4th floor, and there are some stairs too steep to access the 5th floor , which is a problem if you have bulky luggage, but of course ... But they were very nice, and took care of the bags get on the first day, with what we found with surprise. But it bothered me that upon arrival, we have called the credit card and pin (what makes you in the machine) when you ask them why, they tell you it's a guarantee. I guess if you break something or you take something from the minibar, they charge. So far so good, I think more or less "normal". Oh, and the thing, you have to pay during your stay in Amsterdam is a council tax, I think it is 5% of the amount of the reserve, which does not tell you until the last day. In my opinion, not a bad hotel, but should take care of these details in advance.
