That was my best vacation! The hotel Die Port van Cleve was spacious and remarkable, and the reception staff were very pleasant and attentive. I have booked a very cozy room there with a comfortable b
ed and necessary furnishings. It has a good value for money and offers plenty of leisure facilities. This hotel is an excellent location for visiting Amsterdam (5 minutes to the Dam). Very comfortable and attractive hotel! I definitely recommend it.
Pleasant and very clean hotel with attentive and polite staff. Cozy and modern rooms. Die Port van Cleve is perfectly located in a short distance from major Amsterdam sights. Plenty of small cafes are
set near the lodging. Plus there is a lovely view from the hotel's windows!! Channels are not far away and nice shops are in 2 minutes walking. High quality hotel with good leisure facilities!
A great 4-stars hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. With plenty of restaurants and some grocery store around. A little walk can lead you to Dam Square and the Central Train Station near by. There also a
re Amsterdam shopping centres, museums and even a Red Light District in a step-by-step availabilty. \nThe staff at the desk was extremely friendly and polite. We arrived to the hotel before the time, but surprisingly we didn't have to wait. Our room was ready. \nThe room itself was pretty big with comfortable bed, clean linen. Valeted daily. Outstanding!\nThe staff tries to help you in all possible ways, looks like they have some special "prediction" tranning. They control everything. There was nothing to complain about this hotel, we felt almost better than at home.
We spent two nights at this centrally located hotel. A girl at the front desk was speaking french quite acceptable, wanting to communicate in this language (though not all the time). They provided map
s of the city, with directions how to get to different places. From the hotel you can walk to many sites typical for the city (red light district, flower market, channels ...) .Besides there is a tram stop in about 10 minutes walk from Centraal Station, where you can catch trains to the airport.\nThe two double rooms we had reserved, on the fifth floor, were different: one was light, with a large window. The one that touched us was a room with two levels, with round with a huge window almost at ground level, a small table and two chairs. At first we found it had its charm, but the problem was having to walk up and down the four steps that separated the two levels each time you wanted to take something from the closet or bathroom (and we found that it was often!)\nThe double bed, comfortable but not very large, had beautiful blue designs typical Dutch ceramics, like bath products, arranged in boxes with these cute little drawings forming a set. The two rooms were with bath, flat screen TV, machine for coffee and tea ...\n\nWe had no breakfast or dinner at the hotel, but there are several places near it and, almost next door, a large supermarket that sells a wide variety of prepared foods.\nThe hotel offers free Wifi.We were informed in a letter that the hotel had being renovated so the air conditioning system would might work adequadamente. No problems because the weather was not too hot and the air, though weak, was enough. We stored our bags the last day in a room until time to leave.\nIn short, a proper hotel, with rooms of various sizes and styles, with a location hard to beat., Very nice hotel indeed, I strongly recomend it.
A good mid-range hotel. Great location, close to major historical sites, with a station nearby. There also is a tram, so you can get to the museums and interesting places no metter what's the dis
tance is. The hotel provides daily cleaning, the staff is friendly and not intrusive. When we were registering we were asked to leave 50 euros of city tax. So it's better to pay cash, to avoid a mess with a bank card and taxes. By the way you need to sign a paper saying that in the case of smoking in the room, will pay 250 Euro fine.\n\nLocation - could not be better! The beautiful building of the last century. Central Station - no more than 10 minutes walking distance, to Dam Square - 100 m, to the supermarket with the products - 50 meters, a large shopping center Magna Plaza - next door. \n\nWe arrived at 8 am, no problem with checking in, and never seen anyone hanging around in the lobby with suitcases - apparently trying to do that with everyone. We had room of 15 square meters with a good sound insulation. Pretty nice, clean. Kettle is in as well as a tea kit, but no refrigerator. \n\nFor those who like to eat, you should visit the restaurant of Dutch cuisine - Haesje Claes. It is located on a parallel street Spuistraat 273-275. We took the s / s herring, pea soup, hot salmon and lamb - it was delicious! Prices are normal and for dinner its better to book well in advance.\n\nWonderful hotel, ideally located to all the attractions within walking distance, I've already advised it to all my friends, and surely we'll stay here next time.
